Assoc. Prof. Dr. Derya Gül Ünlü completed her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Promotion at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Communication in 2011. She also completed a Double Major Program in Journalism at the same university from 2008 to 2012.

She earned her master’s degree in 2013 with a thesis titled “The Examination of Gendered Approaches in Public Relations Agencies within the Context of Organizational Culture.” She completed her doctorate in 2018 and conducted research at the University of Nova de Lisboa in Portugal in 2017.

Since 2012, she has held various academic positions at Istanbul University’s Faculty of Communication, serving as a Research Assistant, Doctoral Research Assistant in 2018, and Doctoral Faculty Member in 2019. Since 2021, she has been serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Relations and Promotion.
