Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elif Posos Devrani completed her undergraduate education at the Department of Political Science and International Relations at Boğaziçi University. She earned her master’s and doctorate degrees at Galatasaray University. During her time at the University of Bremen’s Center for Media and Communication Studies as a visiting researcher and lecturer, she worked with Prof. Dr. Andreas Hepp on media-ization and the relationship between society and media. With a postdoctoral research scholarship from DAAD, she conducted research on media-ization and media literacy at Heidelberg University and Ludwig Maximilian University. Since 2015, she has been serving as a faculty member at the Department of Culture and Communication Sciences within the Faculty of Culture and Social Sciences at the Turkish-German University. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Posos Devrani continues her work in the fields of new media, media literacy, digital parenting, and digital inequality. Recently, she has conducted research on Digital Classrooms during the Pandemic and Digital Parenting in Turkey. She has publications on 21st-century competencies, digital inequality in education, global and local approaches to media literacy, and the relationship between technology and society
