Born in 1975 in Sungurlu, Çorum. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Engineering, Department of Electronics Engineering in 1998. After approximately 6 years of experience in the private sector in Medical Diagnostics, Yakup Şıvka transitioned to the public sector, working successively as a Network Management Engineer at the Gendarmerie General Command System Management Center, a System Specialist at the General Directorate of ASKI, and the Head of the Information Processing Department at the General Directorate of SHÇEK. Between 2011-2021, he served as the Director of Communication Technologies at Anadolu Agency and, between 2021-2022, as the Deputy General Manager responsible for Technology at Tarnet. Since 2022, he has been serving as the Director of Technology and Innovation at Anadolu Agency.
During his tenure at Anadolu Agency, he implemented significant projects such as the Anadolu Agency Data Center, Satellite Broadcasting System, News Flow System, HASmobile application, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects, Electronic Document Management System, Finance and Energy News Terminals, AAmobile News application, and the News & Photo Analysis and Tracking System. He is married and has two children.
